DUNDALK NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Dundalk on Friday night for his nap, bidding to follow up Thursday’s NAP (and only bet) Peregrine Run WON 4/7.
No mistakes from the NAP and only bet yesterday Peregrine Run who WON by five and half lengths at 4/7. Oddly, for a horse that is so good over fences, his jumping wasn’t perfect over the smaller obstacles but you certainly can’t fault his win-run ratio.
As usual on a Friday night it’s all about Dundalk.
The Joseph O’Brien trained Thames River looks the answer to the one mile maiden at 6.45.
He was staying on well over seven furlongs here two weeks ago to finish runner-up to favourite Now The King and the extra furlong and benefit of experience should bring him on plenty.
The obvious danger is the Ger Lyons trained Sliabh Aughty who improved for his first start at Galway to finish second here last time out. The step-up trip should help this one too but Thames River may have the greater potential.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Thames River (6.45 Dundalk)
