GOLD CUP NAP: SHAMROCK’S final NAP of the Cheltenham Festival runs in the feature of the week – the Gold Cup at 3.30pm.
Yesterday’s NAP A Plus Tard played his part in a thrilling finish to the Ryanair Chase but could only finish third.
It’s the final day of the Festival today with the feature being the Magners Gold Cup at 3.30.
The Irish trained Al Boum Photo and Delta Work head the market as the former attempts to go back to back after his emphatic success last year when beating Anibale Fly by two and a half lengths.
With similar ground he should prove hard to beat again and he comes into this on the back of an easy win at Tramore on New Year’s Day.
Delta Work needs to find something but probably not much as he is in great form with two out of two Grade 1 wins to his name this season.
Santini and Clan Des Obeaux head up the home challenge. Santini is preferred given there are remaining distance doubts about Clan Des Obeaux whose stamina was exposed with his fifth in this last season.
