SHAMROCK: Heads to the jumps card at Kilbeggan on Friday. One winner from his two selections on Thursday evening.
One winner from the two tips yesterday at Leopardstown but unfortunately it was the next best (ROYAL DIAMOND WON 5/4) and not the nap Heart Focus.
Despite the fast ground the field sizes are big at Kilbeggan tonight where the ground has been watered.
Best bet could come in the Coola Maiden Hurdle at 6.25.
This looks an ideal opportunity for the Noel Meade trained Westhaven who faces an easier task in this modest race than he did when third at Bellewstown last time out.
That was also on good to firm ground which he seemed to enjoy. Under the terms of this race he carries a penalty because of his successes on the flat but that is offset by the fact that this is a VERY modest contest.
Golden Heron showed a first sign of ability when a 28/1 third at Tramore last time out whilst Magical Moon (the only other possible winner) has chances. He was a faller here over tonight’s trip when very much still in contention at the last.
