LISTED ACTION AT DUNDALK: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the evening card at Dundalk tonight and the Listed Star Appeal Stakes at 7pm.
The nap Vermout Fougeray ran well to finish second at 9/2 at Tramore yesterday but then suffered the indignity of being placed last after a stewards enquiry Sad smile
Back to the flat tonight and the card at Dundalk under floodlights tonight.
The feature race is the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Star Appeal Stakes (Listed) at 7.00 and Hit It A Bomb looks a worthy favourite for Aidan and Joseph O’Brien. Team OB had three winners on the Navan card on Wednesday.
Hit It A Bomb made a winning debut at the Curragh when beating Agent Of Chaos narrowly. Stable companion Cook Islands was back in fourth but then came out to win well at Navan this week subsequently.
Aidan O’Brien has won the last three runnings of this and should extend the sequence. Main danger may come from the Ger Lyons trained Curragh winner Glass House.
