ANOTHER WINNING NAP FOR SHAMROCK: SHAMROCK landed his second successive winning nap yesterday with Pleascach (WON 9/10) at Fairyhouse last night following on from Bilderberg (NAP) who won at evens on Thursday.
Bidding for a third winning nap in a row today.
There are two evening cards in Ireland at Bellewstown (mixed card) and over the jumps at Wexford.
At Bellewstown there are only four runners in the Anglo Printers Novice Hurdle at 8.20pm but it looks an interesting contest with only one third of a point between the top three in the BETDAQ market.
Cape Glory and Indian Icon are both seeking hat-tricks but it’s Henry Higgins who is the narrow favourite.
The Charles O’Brien trained runner has been well beaten in three previous starts over hurdles but has been highly tried, running in graded company each time.
He comes here on the back on the win on the flat at Leopardstown last month when he stayed on to win a handicap over 1m 6f.
This represents a big drop in class over the jumps but also looks much more realistic and he can see off the in form pair.
Cape Glory seems to relish the fast ground and won at Down Royal last time out despite wandering in the closing stages whilst Indian Icon was a winner of a handicap at Kilbeggan.
