NAPS HAT-TRICK BID: SHAMROCK bids for a hat-trick of winning NAPS this afternoon and puts up a LAY recommendation at Epsom in the Oaks.
Another winning nap on Thursday with Search For A Song who won the final race at Fairyhouse at 4/6. Hopefully we can make it a naps hat-trick today at Epsom on Oaks day.
There is also Irish racing today at Down Royal and Tramore. But we have to turn our attention to the Oaks at Epsom where there is a strong Irish challenge.
Aidan O’Brien has one three of the last four Oaks and his charge this year is headed by Pink Dogwood who has been really well backed on the BETDAQ ante-post market this week.
My concern with her is that her two wins have come with give in the ground and conditions are a lot faster at the Surrey course today.
She has only ever raced on good ground on her debut at The Curragh when she finished 2nd to Lady Kaya however she was beaten 10 lengths on that occasion.
Given how Aidan O’Brien has dominated the Classics so far this season, it might prove to be a dangerous strategy but I will have to lay Pink Dogwood in both the win and place markets this afternoon. * for the purpose of the naps sequence the LAY in the win market is nominated as today’s NAP.
