TIPPERARY LISTED ACTION: SHAMROCK looks ahead to tonight’s Listed Coolmore Ivawood Stakes at 6.55pm.
Ger Lyons and Aidan O’Brien have dominated the Listed Coolmore Ivawood Stakes winning the last four runnings, two a piece, and we get the ‘tie-breaker’ tonight with the pair responsible for the front two in the market.
Preference is for the Ger Lyons trained Lethal Steps who is unbeaten in two starts.
He stated off with a narrow win at Leopardstown and then followed-up with a much more authoritative six length win at Killarney when stepped up in trip last time out.
That form is prepared to Aidan O’Brien’s Ballet Shoes who won her maiden well at the Curragh last time out over a mile and may need longer trips than tonight to show her best form.
Monkeylou made a very pleasing winning debut at Listowel and the Gordon Elliott trained runner can by no means be dismissed in this much tougher contest.
