TRAMORE NAP: SHAMROCK’S NAP on Friday runs in the 6.45 at Tramore.
Torcello is on a recovery mission having unseated his rider when favourite for a handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe last time out but is worth another chance to build on the strength of two good runs at Cork.
He was a three times winner on the flat when trained by Andrew Balding and the quicker ground tonight will hopefully suit.
It doesn’t look a particularly tough heat, despite the large field, and the biggest danger may come from Gold Seal who has gone close in his last two starts.
Count Simon is another ex-Andrew Balding inmate who won on heavy ground at Haydock on the flat and was an improved third over hurdles at Downpatrick last time out.
