10 WINNING NAPS FROM 15: SHAMROCK landed his 10th WINNING NAP from his last 15 for a 66% strike-rate over the last couple of weeks.
Artic Fire landed my nap (and DAQMAN’s too!) when winning the Grade 2 Lismullen Hurdle at Navan yesterday but I’m still not sure how.
It was certainly no surprise to see him trading around 50 in play on BETDAQ as he looked booked for yet another second (at best) when Monsksland and Tagliette looked to be travelling far better up front.
It was very much a case of Arctic Fire and Ruby Walsh pulling it out of the fire though to get up close home capitalising from a poor jump from Monksland at the final flight.
Winning trainer Willie Mullins told the Racing Post: “Arctic Fire will hopefully improve from that. I hope he will get back to the sort of form that he was in last year. I am not sure where we will go with him now and I will just wait and see how he comes out of this first. There is the Hatton’s Grace and the Fighting Fifth to consider. I do like him over 2m4f and you could argue that his best run last year was over 2m4f at Aintree but there are just so few races over that trip.”
It now means the run of NAPS is now 10 WINNERS (and 4 seconds) FROM THE LAST 15….
