BALLINROBE FINALE: SHAMROCK saves his best bet until the last race of the day on Monday. The mares bumper which concludes the Ballinrobe card at 9pm.
The Irish focus switches back to the jumps on Monday with Ballinrobe’s card expected to be staged on good ground.
Jessica Harrington should land this with The Princetonian who showed promise on her debut at Punchestown and built on that at Killarney earlier this month when chasing home Cornellius Sulla. She finished nicely clear of the rest of the field and on similar ground tonight should make it third time lucky.
The big danger will clearly be the Willie Mullins trained debutant Sapphire Lady. The stable remains in great form and had the two mile winner on the flat at the Curragh yesterday with Whiteout. Sapphire Lady is well bred, being a half-sister to a multiple winner, but in an otherwise weak contest The Princetonian can make her experience tell.
Mullins should be on the mark earlier in the card with Dandy Mag in the 6.30pm. This one has been highly tried since winning at Gowran Park in February and should find this much easier.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: The Princetonian (9.00 Ballinrobe)
NEXT BEST: Dandy Mag (6.30 Ballinrobe)
