21 TODAY: SHAMROCK’s nap runs in the 21 runner fillies maiden at the Curragh this afternoon.
A huge field of 21 runners go to post for the fillies maiden over seven furlongs at the Curragh this afternoon (2.45pm) and I’m sticking with Foxtrot Liv to make it third time lucky.
After a promising start to her career at Naas when a 40/1 fourth, she ran a belter here last time out over six furlongs to finish a nose runner-up to Chocolate Music and gave every indication that the extra furlong today will prove ideal.
The Joseph O’Brien trained Syrena is the obvious danger having finished close-up in all three of her starts all over this seven furlong trip. I’m just put off her slightly by the fact that this looks a tougher content than the ones she has been beaten in. She should however again hold Frosty Beach who was seven and a half lengths behind her at Bellewstown.
