DUNDALK STARTS THE WEEK: SHAMROCK heads to Dundalk tonight for his nap in the 7.00 race.
Just when I thought Aidan O’Brien’s runners were needing the run on seasonal reappearance – up he pops with a treble at Navan yesterday to well and truly debunk that theory.
He can however continue the winning run at Dundalk tonight with Seventh Heaven in the fillies maiden at 7pm.
The daughter of Galileo finished down the field on her debut at Leopardstown but then showed improved form on her second start when fourth to First Victory at Newmarket.
She was beaten a fair way but the form looks solid given that the winner went on to win a Group 3.
She has proved strong in early trading on BETDAQ.
Dermot Weld’s Heartful is not without support on her racecourse debut so is one to look out for but I think the biggest danger may come from the David Marnane trained Jowana who was a very creditable fourth to Smash Williams on debut at the Curragh.
