LISTED ACTION AT FAIRYHOUSE: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Listed Ballyhane Blenheim Stakes at 5.25pm.
Yesterday’s NAP The Storyteller was pulled out of the Kerry Group Chase because of the quickening ground at Listowel.
The Listowel Harvest Festival continues today but I’m switching the Fairyhouse for the Listed Ballyhane Blenheim Stakes at 5.25pm.
The six furlong race looks a match between the Joseph O’Brien trained Dense Star and New Treasure from Jim Bolger’s yard and it’s this one that’s narrowly preferred.
He popped up at 66/1 to win a Group 3 at the Curragh on his second start and clearly has plenty of talent which hopefully will be visible on the quicker ground this afternoon.
She has to concede 10lb to the filly Dense Star who is up in class but was very impressive when losing her maiden tag in style at Navan last time out.
