KILBEGGAN ON MONDAY: SHAMROCK has his best bet on the card in the novice hurdle at 5.55pm.
The new week starts with an eight race jumps card on good ground at Kilbeggan.
The novice hurdle at 5.55 looks a great contest with seven of the ten strong field winners last time out.
Pick of them might well be Mr Showtime who is bidding for a hat-trick of wins after successes at Roscommon and Limerick – at both tracks the going was the same ‘good’ as today.
He stayed on strongly to beat the favourite Go Another One at Limerick last time out – the form of that race has worked out quite well and he had a ton in hand at the finish. I’m sure he will be equally as effective over tonight’s longer trip.
Willie Mullins runs Miss Sapphire who won her maiden hurdle at Wexford before taking second here last time out over the 2m 3f trip. Her jumping can sometimes let her down.
Tourboy has been backed this morning and is one guaranteed to get the trip having won well over three miles at Punchestown last time out when going off a 33/1 chance. He looks the biggest danger to Mr Showtime.
