KILLARNEY JULY FESTIVAL: Killarney starts tonight with a mixed card. Feature race on the card is the Listed Cairn Rouge Stakes at 6.50pm.
Raymonda was really disappointing in the Brownstown Stakes at Fairyhouse yesterday finishing a well beaten fourth.
Killarney’s July Festival gets underway tonight at 5.50pm with a competitive two-year-old race.
Feature race on the card is the Listed Cairn Rouge Stakes at 6.50pm.
Aidan O’Brien’s Earring brings the best form to the table with her second to Discipline in a Listed race at Naas last time out. The fourth from that race, Red Stars, has given the form a solid boost by winning the Listed Lenebane Stakes at Roscommon last week in grand style.
The market looks to have her a little tight however and at much bigger odds on the BETDAQ place market I prefer the chances of Emergent.
She’s been quite well beaten in a Listed race and Group race last time out but has been highly tried and might find things easier here. This is only her fourth start so further improvement is also likely.
