A rewarding price from the NAP yesterday – The Very Man at 9/4 as the money arrived for the runner-up Wajaaha who was soundly beaten eight lengths.
A big day in Ireland under normal circumstances but of course we are living in challenging times so the start of the flat has a surreal feel.

This is a big step up in class but it doesn’t look the strongest Group 3 which is understandable on the opening day of the season.
Her stable companion Lemista relished the heavy ground when winning her maiden on the third attempt at Gowran and rates the danger.
