5/1 WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK delivered a hammer blow to the layers yesterday when his NAP and ONLY BET of the day Hamarlyna won the Derrinstown Stud 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown at a rewarding 5/1.
Delighted with Sunday’s 5/1 WINNING NAP and only bet Hamarlyna – she stayed on really well to land the Derrinstown Stud 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown.
It’s a day of flat and jumping in Ireland on Monday with cards at Killarney and Roscommon.
For the nap, I’m heading to the mixed card at Roscommon where Hazel Bay should at last get off the mark for trainer Dermot Weld.
She runs in the fillies maiden at 6.30pm and can gain reward for her recent consistency.
She was last seen at Cork when finishing fourth to Cimeara in Listed company and was by no means disgraced. The form of that race hasn’t worked out brilliantly since but there is no denying this is a massive step down in class and hopefully the hood will also bring about an improvement.
City Ballerina is also overdue a first win but has squandered easier chances than this.
