He Rock’s is taken to follow up on his impressive Galway success in the final race at Roscommon on Monday.
He romped home by nine lengths at Galway and despite the resulting 9lb hike in the weights can be competitive again – especially given he gets the soft underfoot conditions again.
This looks a better race but with the caveat that most of his rivals are either out of form or back after a long break.
Tom Horn is probably the biggest danger. He was beaten 22 lengths into third at Kilbeggan last time out and it remains to seen if he can return to the kind of form that saw him finish second in the Ladbrokes Munster Chase at Limerick back in 2014.
