SLIGO MONDAY EVENING: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Sligo jumps card on Monday evening. There’s an eight race card on yielding ground.
Short odds players need to look no further than the opener at Sligo tonight when the Willie Mullins trained Let’s Dance is set to go off at prohibitive odds.
Although she remains a maiden in four starts over the jumps, her form leaps off the page. She finished a nine length runner up to stable companion Apple’s Jade in a Grade 1 at Punchestown last time out and prior to that was fourth to Ivanovich Gorbatov in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. She should enjoy nothing more than a stroll round tonight at this level.
I’m saving my best bet of the day until the closing bumper at 8.55pm with the Gordon Elliott trained Cadeau Du Bresil who hasn’t achieved too much (and indeed was a beaten odds on favourite last time out) but he’s achieved much more than his rivals which says volumes about them.
His experience should win the day. Best of the debutants, according to the BETDAQ market, might prove to be Ten Theatre for Jessica Harrington. The King’s Theatre filly is related so several winning jumpers.
