DOUBLE JUMPS ACTION: Two Irish jumps card to start the week. At Galway and Wexford. SHAMROCK heads to Wexford for his best bet of the afternoon.
A double dose of jumping to start the week and my best bet of the day runs at Wexford in the Wexford Rated Novice Hurdle at 1.35pm.
I was taken by the way Winter Lion made a winning debut at Punchestown in what looked quite a decent maiden hurdle. He quite readily saw off Supreme Vinnie with Mighty Concorde (who has some good placed efforts) back in third. Winter Lion set off in front that day and that could well be the tactics today.
It’s without doubt a stronger race though and the biggest danger could come from After Rain who looked good when making a winning debut at Killarney and followed that up with an eight length second to the Willie Mullins trained Gangster at Listowel.
