NAP AND DOUBLE UP FOR SHAMROCK: Bishopsfurze (WON 7-4, nap) and another one in his trio, Zaidpour (WON 30-100), landed a double for Shamrock yesterday.

The draw is one of the edges on the tight tracks of AW racing. Not least at Dundalk. Yet the Sporting Life website does not carry the draw in its archives of the Dundalk results. Shame.

I can tell you that the stalls show a bias to low, right up to the extended 1m 2f, and a rare runner for Ballydoyle, Flavia Tatiana (8.50) has the lucky-seven stall out of 14 in the Christmas Parties Handicap. Comfy tuck-in.

The CD winner, trained by Aidan O’Brien and owned by Herself, looks set to steal this little hamper, with son Joseph riding for his mother.

The prize has prompted a raid from Kevin Ryan with the consistent Key Breeze (Pat Smullen in the one stall), but Flavia’s October form has been franked by my recent winning nap, Elizabeth Coffee, so I’m banking on Ballydoyle.

If Flavia wins, then Elizabeth Coffee (9.15) will be much shorter than the tasty 5.9 I got this morning on Betdaq.

Denny Crane loves this track – four wins – and there’s another raider with good AW form, Full Toss, but the three-year-old filly still looks good at the weights to defy a 7lb rise.

Aloof (7.55) seems to have an easy task for David Wachman but the same trainer’s perpetual bridesmaid, Azores (8.20), is surely likely to come unstuck again.

At little better than evens, Azores would be a lay for me, if only I could find something to beat her. So, though I’m chickening out of the lay, I’ll try a place bet Gris Ladera, with so many in the place market paying better than Azores for the win.

Gris Ladera has to make up only a head on Azores for their meeting at the Curragh in October and she tried a trip too far last time out. Yet she is 9.4 to Azores 2.09. One reason is her high draw (that’s where I came in; see you tomorrow).

SHAMROCK’S BETS
NAP: Flavia Tatiana (8.50 Dundalk)
NEXT BEST: Elizabeth Coffee (9.15 Dundalk)
EACH WAY: Gris Ladera (8.20 Dundalk)
DAQ TRIO: Aloof (7.55 Dundalk), Flavia Tatiana (8.50 Dundalk) and Elizabeth Coffee (9.15 Dundalk)
