FRIDAY NIGHT DUNDALK ACTION: Shamrock heads to Dundalk on Friday evening with an eight race card on the all-weather getting underway at 6pm.

There’s a bigger Irish challenge than normal at Cheltenham’s Showcase meeting this afternoon and the meeting seems to get more competitive each year.

In the 2.45, the Jim Dreaper trained Go All The Way (formerly with Nigel Twiston-Davis) looks the best Irish chance of the day.

Later in the afternoon, in the 3.55, Sea Of Thunder is the forecast favourite. He made a winning chasing debut at Clonmel and looks a good prospect over fences but equally this looks competitive.

At Dundalk, True Verdict is trading around evens on BETDAQ for the 7f maiden at 6.30. I’ve got three words to say about that. “No thank you’.

For me she has to be a lay, she finished second in her first three starts but then appeared to go backwards over this trip at Leopardstown last time out. A wide draw of 13 won’t help her cause and there’s a couple of debutants of interest.

It’s a NAP lay and a low cost place lay for me.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: LAY True Verdict (6.30 Dundalk)
PLACE LAY: True Verdict (6.30 Dundalk)
