We head to Dundalk for this evening’s card which includes the Listed Mercury Stakes at 8.00 which has attracted a big field including last year’s winner Nocturnal Affair.
My bet is to oppose Starspangledbanner in both the win and place markets. Aidan O’Brien’s horse is undoubtedly the quality horse of the race but has only ever won (twice) over six furlongs and is an unknown proposition on the Polytrack.
Big fields are the order of the day at Dundalk tonight. In the 9.00 Atmospheric High looks booked for a place. She ran really well over course and distance when second last time and can make a bold bid off top weight here.
