FIVE FROM SEVEN NAPS: Shamrock put the seal on a fantastic winning Royal Ascot week with another winning nap yesterday. In a rare move, his nap was a lay. He successfully took on 6/4 favourite Park Ranger who could only finish third at Gowran Park. The recent naps ‘form figures’ now reads: 11011120221011101101030101110011

Today is hard but I’m trying my best to keep the run of naps going.

I really like the profile of Mister Benedictine in the 6.30 at Kilbeggan. He’s shooting up in the weights but I think is still ahead of the handicapper judged by the style of his recent two successes. However, I can’t nap or even tip him because of the ground. He has no proven form on soft (although has won on good to soft) and his recent successes have come on good to firm ground. I would break one of my major rules if putting him up.

Carlito Brigante made a successful chasing debut at Killarney and should be able to defy the penalty incurred for that success in the 8.00 race in which six of the eight runners were last time out winners.

I simply can’t find a nap though on the card so I start the week with an apology. I’m going to head to Wolverhampton for the VERY short priced Irish bred filly Mugazala in the 4.15.

We landed a winning nap at Wolverhampton last Monday with Savida WON 9/4 but this one’s nearer 1/3 on the early BETDAQ market. She showed huge promise on debut at Newamarket and I want another ‘1’ at the end of my own naps sequence. Better prices will follow later in the week.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Mugazala (4.15 Wolverhampton)
NEXT BEST: Carlito Brigante (8.00 Kilbeggan)
