GEE WHIZZ VIZ: Shamrock landed his third winning nap of the week with Viztoria WON 5/2 on Sunday.
She’s not only consistent, winning BOTH her starts by 7 1/2 lengths, she also looks pretty special. Viztoria landed the nap on Sunday in style when bolting home in the Listed Blenheim Stakes at the Curragh and has shortened significantly for next season’s classics.
It made it three winning naps from six last week (we had no bet on Tuesday) and a profitable week despite a lay bet winning đ
Monday afternoon’s meeting at Roscommon goes ahead after the track passed an 8am inspection.
Officials called the morning check due to the threat of overnight rain but have been able to give the fixture the thumbs up.
Not the most original selection today but Aidan O’Briens Fortify looks the nap in the opener. He was a close-up third of just four at Gowran Park on debut and should improve for that effort. He’s proved he handles the heavy ground which will be a major advantage.
I thought he would be deep odds-on – but we are looking around 1.8 and may even get evens come race time.
