NAPS ON HOLD WITH IRISH RACING SET TO RESUME THURSDAY: Shamrock is now on three naps in a row after Alderwood won yesterday.
Alderwood completed my naps hat-trick (and was also a winning nap for my colleague DAQMAN) when winning at Navan yesterday but I can’t really tell you much about the win.
The course was shrouded in fog and when they came back into view Alderwood, a Cheltenham Festival winner over hurdles, was upsides Prima Vista at the last and had to be pushed out by Mark Walsh.
Trainer Tom Mullins said after the race: “That was not an Arkle performance and I’d be thinking in terms of a handicap for him at Cheltenham.”
