THREE NAPS UP OUT OF FOUR: Shamrock yesterday made it three winning naps from the last four – and seven from the last 11 to complete – when he laid the favourite Susiescot (3rd 9-10) and named the successful Tawariyka (WON 6-4). His naps sequence in the last 16 days is now 212111122B2411P1

ASCOT: Prunella Dobbs tests the staying mares for us with Our Girl Salley (2.05). The sire’s best NH son, Roll Along, got 3m so we can be hopeful. But the 5lb concession all round is a worry.

Forpadydeplasterer (3.10) is a bridesmaid of long standing but, in a race of novices versus established stars with tainted reputations, at least we know he’s a professional placer.

NAAS: Allee Grande (1.40) rates the nap, dropped in class from a fine effort in a Grade 1 and likely to be too good for Four Commanders, who has managed only places at today’s Grade-2 level.

The day looks like a Willie Mullins benefit, with Mikael D’Haguenet (1.05) back on song, Marasonnien (12.35) surely dropped to a winning grade, though maybe Dylan Ross (2.15) too classy for Midnight Game.

I fancy Fourth Class (3.25) is better than the mark he’s been given for this first chase handicap; in fact, the first handicap of his life. Has the current hot rider (winning one in four) to help him.
