SHAMROCK’S NAVAN NAP: The form of a horse running at Navan this afternoon was given a major boost at Leopardstown last night. Shamrock naps with confidence.
Mizani looked of interest for the 3.40 at Navan today even before the 9.05 at Leopardstown last night, won easily by Handazan, but confidence is now much higher.
Mizani had beaten Handazan by a short head at Naas (pair finishing clear) and the eight length win by Handazan last night has given the form a terrific and timely boost.
With two non runners in the 3.40, the grey Mizani now has just three rivals and definitely makes appeal at around 2.96 on BETDAQ where little was separating the front three in the market in earlier trading.
Aidan O’Brien let us down big time with the nap yesterday that ran too bad to be true but the stable should land the 5.15 at Navan with Purple who is closely matched with Lord Jim on recent course and distance form but may have the greater scope for improvement.
