SIZING UP THE PWC CHAMPION CHASE: The Grade 2 is the highlight of Gowran Park’s Saturday card featuring last year’s winner Sizing Europe.

Henry De Bromhead’s Sizing Europe makes his seasonal reappearance today in the PWC Champion Chase which he won last year.

He was a little ring rusty when winning last year and took some time for his jumping to get going but he should be good enough to land this, particularly now that China Rock is an absentee.

Sizing Europe, now a ten-year-old, was last seen when winning the Champion Chase at the Punchestown Festival having previously finished an odds-on second at Cheltenham in the Champion Chase won by Finian’s Rainbow – the race where the last fence was omitted.

It’s great to have him back but I’m not sure he’s bet for me at around 1.7 on BETDAQ.

The opener at 2.15 looks a coin flip between Fisher and TOp Man Michael. I got a coin flip wrong at Dundalk last night but hope to resume winning ways with Fisher who holds Top Man Michael on a line of form through Habesh, who Fisher beat on his juping debut.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Fisher (2.15 Gowran Park)
