TRAMORE: The Listed race is worthy of any decent card, and I’ve enjoyed success in it with the likes of One Cool Cookie and Barrow Drive. The Fonze (2010) has also won it before, one of his three chase wins on the course.
Tranquil Sea is 8lb clear in the ratings but, though he’d won the race twice before, he pulled up well behind Roi Du Mee (unlucky faller) in the John Durkan.
The track will suit front-runner Apt Approach but I’m going for youth, following Roi Du Mee’s progressive form in a field of 50% 11-year-olds.
