NAP ROMPS HOME: Shamrock was very sweet on the chances of his nap Mizani at Navan on Saturday after the form was boosted late on Friday. Mizani bolted home at a well-backed evens – winning by eight and a half lengths !!! His current naps sequence now reads: 11011120221011101101
Are alarm bells starting to sound at Aidan O’Brien’s yard? The Ballydoyle trainer has had 12 runners since Camelot won the Epsom Derby and the ‘O’Brien dozen’ have failed to notch a single winner.
I would advise caution for the time being and there could be value in opposing his runners.
I wasn’t expecting to see over evens for Leitir Mor in the opener at the Curragh. He has twice finished second here (to O’Brien trained runners) but with Dermot Weld’s debutant Cool Metallic seemingly unfancied in the market, he should get off the mark at the third attempt here. O’Brien saddles Gale Force Ten who made a satisfactory start at Dundalk but Leitir Mor has achieved much more.
Zalantoun flopped at odds-on at Dundalk, but back on the turf and after a break could be worth sticking with in the 4.20. The early BETDAQ moves are positive.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Leitir Mor (2.20 Curragh)
NEXT BEST: Zalantoun (4.20 Curragh)
