NOW 7 FROM 9: Shamrock made it seven winning naps from his last nine when Minsk won on Saturday. Now for Punchestown on Sunday.
Good news is that the action goes ahead at Punchestown.
Officials had been concerned about the threat of overnight frost but following a bright morning the fixture was given the all-clear.
A seven-race card features the Grade One Morgiana Hurdle and the return to action of former Champion Hurdler hero Hurricane Fly.
Top-class supporting action comes in the shape of the Craddockstown Novice Chase and Florida Pearl Novices Chase.
The ground is heavy, soft to heavy in places.
Unaccompanied has been declared a non-runner in today’s Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown.
The Dermot Weld-trained mare has been reported in season, according to Horse Racing Ireland.
Her defection leaves a field of three for the Grade One event – Hurricane Fly, Go Native and Captain Cee Bee.
I think Hurricane Fly will win but it’s not a betting race for me especially with the long absence of Go Native to consider.
Best bet could be Rough Justice for Willie Mullins in the bumper. A point to point winner he can take this for the stable who won the same race last year.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Rough Justice (3.50 Punchestown)
