TIPPERARY CANCELLED: Significant rain overnight forces Tipperary to be cancelled. Two winners out of three for Shamrock on Wednesday.

I got two out of three at Naas last night but sadly not the nap, Nurpur, that suffered in a roughly run race in the opener and was unplaced. The two winners were: Caponata WON 3/1 and ALKAZIM WON 2/5.

This evening’s meeting at Tipperary has been cancelled as the track was found to be unfit for racing after significant overnight rain.

An inspection was called for 10am this morning following 35mm of rain but officials cancelled the seven race all Flat card ahead of that time as the track was found to be waterlogged.

Looking ahead to the Irish Derby on Saturday the going at the Curragh is now soft (heavy in places) following 20mm of rain overnight.

The Irish Derby will be the last race on the card – run at 7.40 and featuring Epsom Derby winner Camelot as the red hot favourite.

No selections for today.
