WINNING NAP: Shamrock landed another winning nap with CHAMONIX WON 4/5 in the opener at Killarney last night and a successful place on Pollywollydoodle in the final race. Killarney continues this afternoon but Shamrock heads to the evening card at Leopardstown in search of the best bets.
Leopardstown 6.45: Silver Flash Stakes (Fillies’ Group 3): This looks a great race in prospect and, for once (I think !), Aidan O’Brien doesn’t have a pre-race stranglehold on it. O’Brien saddles Snow Queen who was a beaten favourite over course and distance on her debut and others are preferred.
Harasiya was a course and distance winner on her debut and got the job done in great style. She had Reglisse five lengths back in third and should again account for that rival. Her form looks solid.
Biggest danger may come from Rawaaq who made a surprise winning debut at the Curragh over six furlongs. She recovered from a slow start to beat Leitir Mor who is relatively exposed but brought some good placed efforts into the race. Rawaaq should appreciate the extra furlong and rates as a danger but I think Harasiya has a real touch of class and expect her to win this well.
Nevis made an encouraging debut behind stablemate The United States (who looks a horse very much to follow) at the Curragh earlier in the month and can improve on that effort to land the maiden at 6.15.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Harasiya (6.45 Leopardstown)
NEXT BEST: Nevis (6.15 Leopardstown)
