LISTOWEL ACTION CONTINUES: All races run 5 minutes later than scheduled because of the Ayr abandonment. Shamrock’s NAP runs in the first of eight races on Thursday.
Exact was well beaten when running third to Tandem last time out at Galway but it still represented a step-up on his debut effort at Navan and Aidan O’Brien’s colt should be good enough to land the opener today. Mount McLeod has had plenty of chances and refused to enter the stalls at Southwell last time so there has to be a big question mark about her current temperament.
The Dermot Weld trained Troon only showed a modicum of promise on debut at Killarney but it would come as no surprise to see a signifcantly better run from the BETDAQ current second favourite.
Weld could also go close in the second race with the interestingly bred debutant Muntasaf who is prominent in the morning exchanges.
