CLONMEL: Shamrock heads to Clonmel for their jumping card on Thursday. The going is yielding, yielding to Soft in places.
There’s little to choose at the top of the BETDAQ market in the 1.55 at Clonmel today. However, I prefer Sands Cove ahead of Johnnys Legacy.
Sands Cove was a winner on his bumper debut at Roscommon and although only ninth on his hurdling debut when last seen out at Navan – may well improve for that effort and is worth another chance in a contest as weak as this.
One win from 27 starts, and that was on the flat at Dundalk, makes Johnnys Legacy an expensive customer to follow and I much prefer the chances of Sands Cove here.
The debutant Bose Ikard is really strong in the market for the closing bumper and could have this at his mercy.
