EACH-WAY BETDAQ BET OF THE DAY ON ‘BESSIE’: Shamrock finds a 24.0 offer irresistible from a stable in form and the Irish have the each-way banker of the day with a mare called ‘Bessie’.

Is McCoy kidding or what? Tony McCoy has an armchair ride on ‘Mr Seven Up’ Nicky Henderson’s Kid Cassidy (1.20) but swerves the Henderson runner, odds-on Heather Royal (12.50), in the first at Lingfield today.

He seems to prefer the Irish mare, Bessie Lou, who travels over from Kilkenny for Michael Joseph Fitzgerald in search of better ground.

Because Henderson’s runners will now be overbet after yesterday’s spree, I can get a huge 9.6 ‘Bessie’, which must be the each-way value wager of the day.

With Jim Best currently three winners from four starters, I also took a bit of 24.0 on Betdaq this morning about the Irish-bred Sharakti (1.50).

Followers of Don McCain are literally Bound For Glory (1.00 Sedgefield) and, though it’s buying money here, we need to stock up our old pile of punts (the euro can’t last, can it now) for the big-race weekend.

Irish Point winner Trustan Times (1.30) will do me for the double; said to be a ‘natural’ for the chasing game.

SHAMROCK’S BETS
NAP: Bound For Glory (1.00 Sedgefield)
NEXT BEST: Trustan Times (1.30 Sedgefield)
OUTSIDERS: Bessie Lou (12.50 Lingfield), Sharakti (1.50 Lingfield)
DAQ DOUBLE: Bound For Glory (1.00 Sedgefield) and Trustan Times (1.30 Sedgefield)
