HEAVY GOING at Limerick. Irish racing resumes today with a tricky card at Limerick on heavy ground. A Willie Mullins defection has convinced SHAMROCK the nap of the card runs in the 1.35.
Willie Mullins has given the others a rare chance! Pride oftheparish looked set to be another Mullins’ trained short priced winner in the 1.35 at Limerick but is now a non-runner leaving the coast clear for Page Turner to step up on a recent course second.
Lightly raced, Page Turner jumped well here last month to take second behind the odds on favourite Distant Memories. He couldn’t match the winner in the closing stages but put 29 lengths back to the third Sir Harry Cash who is also in opposition today.
Page Turner steps up three furlongs today and hopefully will be ridden with a little more restraint this time. With normal improvement he should prove too strong for chief market rival De Dodger who has been running well in handicap company but is proving expensive to follow.
In the opener Lisrose is trading at around 9 on BETDAQ which looks too good and is recommended on a win and place basis.
She ran well in the same ground here last time out in handicap company and the step-back in distance should suit.
