KILLARNEY: Continues this evening. Shamrock’s NAP was backed off the boards yesterday DRIVE TIME WON 1/4 and he also had a success with an odds-on lay – Learn 2nd at 4/6. However, the other lay Wonderful won – but it was just about a net profit on the day.
Chamonix is stepped up in trip in the opener tonight to 1m 6f after his debut sixth to Shelford at Leopardstown. It was an encouraging debut and in a field comprised mainly of jumpers he can improve sufficiently to win this for Aidan and Joseph O’Brien. Ballyadam Brook is prominent in the betting but was beaten a long way when fourth last time and biggest danger could come from Clondaw Warrior.
In the 6.40, Fibril looks of interest at around 12 on BETDAQ. He has shown improved form since being stepped up in trip and could easily turn around the form with California Rose who beat him by a length and a half at Bellewstown last time but Fibril is 4lb better off at the weights today.
The splendidly named Pollywollydoodle ran well when third on her debut at Down Royal and is a bet to reach the frame again today.
