I’m staying closer to home for the 3.45 at Cork and the Ger Lyons trained Sandstorming who looks the nap on the card in the maiden.
He showed plenty in his two starts last season finishing fourth on debut at Naas and then showing improved form after being stepped up in trip to finish a half length second to Stellar Mass at the Curragh. The winner went on to win a Group 3 and was a highly credible third in the Irish Derby so the form is well above average.
The obvious danger is Zabalan who has the benefit of a recent run although he was a slightly disappointing odds-on third to Saafarr at Dundalk.
