ROMAN TO SCORE IN CORK FINALE: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the closing maiden on the Cork card on Saturday where his nap of the day runs.

The Jim Bolger trained Free Ranger is the early BETDAQ favourite in the closing maiden over 1m 100y. He was no match for runaway winner Kupa Rover at Listowel last time out on heavy ground at Listowel. Free Ranger was beaten nine lengths that day and the winner did little to boost the form next time out.
He certainly looks a favourite to oppose. The Aidan O’Brien trained Pipes Of Peace is one of the stables lesser lights and generally has been disappointing and has yet to encounter ground as soft as this.
The John Oxx trained Famous Pearl ran well here over this trip on debut but she got really bogged down in heavy ground at Listowel last time out in the race won by Intense Stylist. Roman Seera finished third that day at 66/1 and might be worth supporting win and place here in a race where there are major question marks over the market principals.
