2,000 GUINEAS BET AND CORK NAP: SHAMROCK has two bets on Saturday on both sides of the Irish Sea.

Rapidly drying ground ahead of the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket but it remains testing in Ireland for the flat card at Cork and the jumps action at Wexford on Saturday.

The ground should favour Gustav Klimt at Newmarket as he won the Superlative Stakes at the course last July when the ground was good to firm. He stayed on well to win over seven furlongs on his seasonal reappearance at Leopardstown and should relish the extra furlong.

It looks a wide open Guineas however and Aidan O’Brien also runs the unbeaten Saxon Warrior – all three of his wins have come over a mile and he is having is first start since winning the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster.

Of the pair my preference is for Gustav Klimt.

At Cork I like the look of the John Oxx trained Agent Zigzag who has been well supported in the BETDAQ market this morning.

He shaped well on testing ground on debut when third and should strip a lot fitter ahead of this.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Agent Zigzag (5.25 Cork)
NEXT BEST: Gustav Klimt (3.35 Newmarket)
