13 runners and it looks wide open. The market leader won it last year but it’s hard to predict what will even go off favourite come post time.
Pronouncement is vying for favouritism. She finally lost her maiden tag at Naas in June and has since gone on to finish placed in a Listed race here at Cork (6f) and, last time out, a good second to easy winner Millisle at Naas in a Group 3. The winner is probably better than Group 3 class but the concern for Pronouncement is that the bulk of her form has come over six and she is up against some seasoned performers over this trip.
Preference therefore goes to Silk Forest whose course and distance fourth to Valeria Messalina last time out stacks up well. The winner went on to be pipped at Glorious Goodwood in a Group 3.
