GROUP ACTION AT THE CURRAGH: Group race action at the Curragh and the star on show is Order Of St George who bids for a repeat win in the Irish St Leger Trial.
Order Of St George will start at prohibitive odds as he bids for a sixth consecutive win but he is impossible to oppose in the Group 3 Palmerstown House Estate Irish St Leger Trial Stakes at 2.45pm.
He won this last year before going on to win the Irish St Leger itself by 11 lengths and a similar path looks very much on the cards.
In the Group 3 Jimmy O’Neill Irish Racing Excellence Curragh Stakes at 3.20pm, the Mick Halford trained Yulong Baobei can follow up on his Listed Tipperary win last time out.
He made all the running that day to win very cosily and fully deserves his first crack at Group race action.
