DOWN ROYAL NAP: SHAMROCK’S NAP on Saturday runs in the Grade 2 Chase at 3.05pm.
The feature JNwine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal this afternoon looks impossibly difficult despite there just being a field of six – four of them running in the Gigginstown colours including last year’s winner Outlander.
In the other big race on the card at 3.05pm I like the look of Monalee to make a winning seasonal reappearance.
He fell in the Growise Champion Novice Chase last time out at the Punchestown Festival when still going well. Eventual winner The Storyteller also runs here but he was undoubtedly a fortunate winner that day given the carnage at the last two fences.
Peregrine Run is in good form currently but will find this much harder and a bigger danger could be the Noel Meade trained Snow Falcon who had a big pay day when winning the Guinness Kerry National Handicap Chase at Listowel last time out.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
