SHAMROCK AT DOWN ROYAL: SHAMROCK’S NAP runs in the Grade 2 Daily Mirror Chase at Down Royal this afternoon.
A terrific afternoon of jumping at Down Royal this afternoon with the Ladbrokes Champion Chase the highlight and I’m also looking forward to see Champion Bumper winner Envoi Allen make his hurdling debut – although he will be a prohibitive price.
The NAP on the card for me is Real Steel in the Daily Mirror Chase at 2.55pm.
He’s best in at the weights here and can start this season off with a win. He was an impressive winner of a valuable handicap chase at Punchestown when last seen in May and scored with plenty in hand.
He holds Mengli Khan on Fairyhouse form and in any event that rival has become a little frustrating for my money.
Secret Investor continues to improve but the ground may have gone against him and the biggest danger may come from Minella Fair who is up in class.
