Plenty of Cheltenham clues on offer from both sides of the Irish Sea today and at Fairyhouse the Joseph O’Brien trained Landofhopeandglory can re-establish his claims for the Triumph Hurdle.
He’s almost become the forgotten horse of the race after his defeat at the hands of Bapaume at Leopardstown over Christmas but a good win today will very much get him back on track. Bapaume went on to finish second to Mega Fortune in a Grade 1 so the form is better than it looked at the time.
Today’s favourite Dinaria Des Obeaux was back in third in the Mega Fortune race and on a strict interpretation of that Landofhopeandglory looks very much the value today to beat the odds-on Dinaria Des Obeaux.
