SHAMROCK AT GOWRAN PARK: The meeting passed an inspection yesterday and SHAMROCK finds a nap in the opener at 2.10.

Today’s meeting at Gowran Park goes ahead following an inspection with the seven race card being staged on heavy ground.
The opening maiden hurdle looks a poor contest which could be at the mercy of Get Out Of Jail. He was a winner on the flat and has only modest hurdling form so far – but such is the context of this race it’s actually the best form on offer.
His best run came on his hurdling debut at Down Royal when fourth at 66/1. He was running a good race at Fairyhouse before unseating but last time out was a well beaten fourth behind the smart De Plotting Shed at Clonmel.
The Gordon Elliott trained Kings Line is the chief market rival but was bitterly disappointing on heavy ground at Down Royal last time out.
