6/4 WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK landed a winning nap on Friday with MONARCH (NAP) WON 6/4 at Kilbeggan.
Monarch crushed to a first win over hurdles last night although there was a minor scare at the last where he wasn’t fluent.
They race at Limerick and Gowran Park on Saturday with jumps / flat racing respectively.
Just four runners in the final race at Gowran Park but the Ger Lyons trained Insayshable looks the banker on the card.
He ran a highly credible third to Douglas Macarthur in the Group 3 Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial Stakes at Leopardstown last time out which was a fine effort.
The easier ground will very much be in his favour today and he is top rated on official ratings.
The filly Aneen only beat one home in the Irish 1000 Guineas and is better judged on her previous maiden win at the Curragh for which she will be a big danger here in receipt of her allowance.
