STORM ARRIVES EARLY: SHAMROCK landed another winning NAP on Friday with CHINA’S STORM WON 13/8 at Dundalk. He has now had 14 winning NAPS from 25 picks in 2020.
China’s Storm battled back bravely at Dundalk last night to land the SHAMROCK NAP at 13/8 from the only bet of the day.
Despite Storm Dennis trying to spoil the weekend’s action so far, at least, racing has fared well in the UK and Ireland where Gowran Park goes ahead on heavy ground.
The two feature races are the Red Mills Trial Hurdle at 1.44pm and the Red Mills Chase at 2.54pm.
Cilaos Emery looks to have the Grade 3 hurdle trial at his mercy providing his confidence hasn’t been hit by a first fence fall at Leopardstown last time out.
The chase looks a little more competitive, although I think it might go the same way as the official ratings suggest and preference is for Real Steel who will be hard to beat if close to the form he was in last time out when he stormed home to a 14 length success at Thurles in a Grade 2, thumping his odds-on stable companion Footpad.
There was no denying that Chris’s Dream was impressive when winning the Troytown but this is tougher and the drop back in trip a question mark.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Real Steel (2.54 Gowran Park)
2020 NAPS: 14/25 +83.75 (to a 10 unit daily level stake)
